With the help of the New Orleans Tourism and Cultural Fund and the Mayor's Youth Employment Program, Annie Moran Studio is excited to announce a 2023 summer internship experience open to teens and young adults residing in Orleans Parish.

This mural-focused visual arts internship will foster creativity, artistic expression, and development through collaboration amongst young aspiring visual artists. Wall space inside a public building will be beautified with a mural designed by artist Annie Moran and executed by Moran with the assistance of no more than 10 selected interns. Interns will be taught about the design process of planning an interior mural using examples of Moran's past work and the design for the project in question. The interns will be led through the process of mural execution by traditional methods, using traditional materials (no spray paints). Interns will earn a wage of $15/hr. Each intern will also receive personalized portfolio and career counseling from Annie Moran and potentially other professional guest artists.

Applicants must...

• Be between the ages of 16 - 24
• Be a resident of Orleans Parish
• Have an interest in an artistic career
• Demonstrate artistic ability
• Be available June 5 - July 14, 2023 to work
